Dashboard is the first row of the menu and the page admins and Editors land on when they sign in. It answers three questions at a glance: how are people doing, can this workspace hear them, and what needs doing next. Viewers open a home page of their own instead — see What members see in Polzy.

An Editor's dashboard covers their reporting line: the people who report to them, directly or further down. Its captions say your team, and a group too small to report on stays hidden for them as for everyone.

The bar at the top

One bar decides what the figures cover. Every panel that can follow it does, and each panel's caption says what it covers, such as Last 90 days · all surveys · Department: Sales.

The dashboard's bar sets the survey, the period, what it is compared to and one group; the four headline figures follow it.
  • Survey. All surveys, or one.
  • Period. Last 90 days by default; or Last 30 days, Last 365 days, or one of the last eight quarters.
  • Compare to. Previous period — the same length of time just before — or an earlier quarter.
  • A group. The workspace's first field, such as Department or Plan: All, or one of its groups.

The choice is kept in the page's address, so a filtered dashboard can be sent as a link. Reset brings back the defaults. Admins also find New survey at the top right.

The four headline figures

FigureWhat it countsUnder it
ResponsesThe answers given in the view. The change against the comparison period, once that period had at least 20 responses; of N invited.
Response rateInvitations answered, out of invitations sent in the period. With no invitations — answers that came through a shared link — it is the people who answered, out of the active people in the workspace. The change in points; against N% last period.
Happiness scoreThe average score of the responses in the view, out of 10.The change against the comparison period; across N themes.
Open actionsActions still to do or in progress, as of today, whatever the bar says. How many are urgent, how many were closed to date, and a bar by priority.

Happiness score is the workspace's headline score, whatever the workspace measures; on Analytics the same figure carries your workspace's own name for it, such as CSAT. Each response's score comes from its scored answers — ratings, NPS and choices with points; Score a survey explains how. A change is only shown when the earlier period has enough people in it: a comparison with two people would show those two people's answers.

When fewer people than your minimum group size are in the view, a figure reads Hidden to protect anonymity instead of a number.

Happiness over time and responses

Happiness over time draws the score out of 10, with a dashed line where the workspace stood in the comparison period. Each point stands on enough people: when a week is too quiet, Polzy combines it with the next and says so under the chart, for example By week — periods with fewer than 5 people are combined.

Responses per week (or per month for a longer period) counts the answers, with the total above the bars. A count is never hidden.

Themes

On Solo and up, Themes lists up to six themes with their score out of 10. An arrow shows a move of more than a tenth against the comparison period, and a small mark on the bar shows where the theme stood before. A theme scored by too few people reads under 5 instead of a score. Set up themes and read their scores.

Listening health

Listening health checks whether this workspace is set up to hear anything. The ring counts the checks that pass; each row opens the page where you fix it.

Listening health: a ring of passing checks, and one row asking for attention.

What to do next

  • Worth a look. On Solo and up, the three findings from Insights that matter most in the view, each marked Risk, Watch, Win or Note, with how many responses it rests on. Open takes you to Insights.
  • Actions closing soon. The five open actions due soonest, with in 3d or 2d late. View all → opens Actions.

Monitoring

Four tiles at the bottom count what needs a look. Each shows how many are fine (N OK) and the total, and opens its page.

Who sees what

  • Admins. The whole workspace.
  • Editors. Their reporting line, as groups. Open actions are the ones they can see: their own and their line's.
  • Viewers. No dashboard: they open their own home page, with the surveys they have to answer.

Panels that need a plan appear when the plan has them: the themes, the Themes tile and Listening health's themes check need Solo, as does Worth a look.

Troubleshooting

  • Your dashboard could not load. The figures did not arrive — usually the connection. Press Try again; the page also tries again by itself when the connection comes back.
  • No theme scores yet. No answered question is linked to a theme in the view. Link questions to themes in the survey builder, or widen the period.
  • Nothing stands out in this view. Insights found nothing worth raising — often because too few people answered. Widen the period or clear the group.
  • A figure reads "Hidden to protect anonymity". Fewer people than the minimum group size are in the view. Choose a wider group or period.
