How the minimum group size works
Why results only appear for groups large enough to keep people anonymous.

What it is
Polzy only shows a group’s results when enough people in it have answered. Below that number, a figure shows a dash instead. The default is 5.
The limit is applied on the server — in every chart, filter, heatmap cell, report and Ask Polzy answer — so no view can work around it.
Where you will see it
- A heatmap cell for a small group has a dashed outline and a dash.
- A filter that narrows results below the limit hides the figures, and says why.
- The comments export leaves out the names of groups below the limit.
- A survey's or a campaign's Score and Response rate show a dash when too few people answered or were asked — for a manager, counting only the people in their reporting line.
Changing it
Admins set it under Settings → General → Privacy and data → Minimum group size, from 3 to 50. It is one number for the whole workspace.
On a survey's responses page, an anonymous answer shows only the day it was given — no ID, exact time or duration — and is listed after the named ones. An admin's export of a survey's individual responses keeps named answers whole. Anonymous answers keep what they said and the day, without an ID, an exact time or how long they took — and when fewer people than the limit answered anonymously, they are left out of the file and Polzy says how many. Treat the file with the same care as the answers themselves.
