Read a campaign's insights
A campaign's Insights tab: how its messages were delivered, opened and answered, its eNPS or score, why people answered that way, devices, where people stopped and how long it took.
On this page
Every campaign has an Insights tab: the survey's results narrowed to the answers that came in through this campaign, plus what only a campaign has — how its messages travelled, and how it compares with the last campaign that sent the same survey.
On every plan, for admins and Editors. An Editor's figures cover their reporting line, and a note at the top says so. Theme scores need themes (Solo and up).
Open the Insights tab
- Open Campaigns and choose a campaign.
- Click the Insights tab. It loads the first time you open it.
Delivered, opened, responded
The row at the top follows the campaign from message to answer.
| Tile | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Delivered | The share of messages that reached people, with how many were delivered and how many bounced. |
| Opened | The share of delivered messages that were opened. Someone who clicked the link or answered always counts as opened. |
| Responded | The share of invited people who answered, with how many answered out of how many were invited. |
| eNPS or Score | eNPS when the survey has an NPS question — promoters minus detractors, with a bar of Promoters, Passives and Detractors. Otherwise the Score out of 10. |
Opened, Responded and the score show the change against the campaign before. A line under the row names it: Changes are against "September pulse", the last campaign that sent this survey. A figure for fewer people than your minimum group size reads Fewer than 5 people — not shown.
Why they answered that way
For an NPS survey, this panel breaks each group down by theme. Switch between Detractors, Passives and Promoters: each theme shows the share of that group whose answer it pulled down — or, for promoters, up. A group with fewer people than the minimum group size is not broken down.
Time, devices and drop-off
- Time to complete. The median time of a finished answer, a bar per minute up to 10+ min, and how far it sits from the survey's estimate — −40 sec vs estimate.
- Devices. The share of answers from Mobile, Desktop and Tablet. It needs Collect metadata on in the survey's settings; without it the panel says the survey does not keep the browser's details.
- Where people stopped. For each question where someone gave up, the share of people who stopped there. The question most people stopped at is marked.
Groups and themes
Participation by your first field shows the share of each group that answered, against the average. Themes in this campaign lists each theme's score out of 10, against the last campaign. A line at the bottom says what the tab reads: Read from the answers to this campaign alone, out of 240 invited.
For each answer one by one, open the campaign's Responses tab — see Read individual responses. For the written report, see its Report tab and Send scheduled reports.
Troubleshooting
- Fewer than 5 people — not shown. Too few people answered yet. The figure appears once enough have.
- No completed answers yet. Nobody has finished the survey through this campaign.
- The survey does not keep the browser's details, so there is nothing to show. Turn on Collect metadata in the survey's settings — see Survey settings. It applies to answers from then on.
- Nobody has stopped part-way. Everyone who started finished — or too few people stopped to show it without pointing at them.
- No theme has 5 scored answers yet. No question in the survey is filed under a theme, or too few people answered. See Set up themes.
- Opened looks low. Not every channel and mail app reports an open, so some people who read the message are only counted once they click or answer.
