Every page in Polzy sits in the same frame: the sidebar on the start side, the top bar above the page, and the page itself. This article walks through each part, what it does and who sees it. What you see depends on your role — Admin, Editor or Viewer — and on what your plan and your workspace include.

The frame of every page: the workspace menu and the pages in the sidebar, the top bar with search, Ask Polzy and the icons, and your name at the bottom.

The sidebar lists the pages of the workspace you are in, in four sections. A figure beside a row says how many there are, or how many are waiting on you.

  • A row with sub-pages opens to show them; the one you are on is highlighted.
  • A locked row carries the plan that includes it, for Admins. Editors and Viewers never see locks.
  • A missing row is a page your role cannot open, or a capability your workspace switched off under Settings → General.
  • Collapse menu, the panel icon beside the workspace name, shrinks the sidebar to icons; pointing at an icon shows its name or its sub-pages. Expand menu brings it back.
  • Simple view (Admins), at the foot of the menu, hides the features your plan does not include. Show all features shows them again, locked.
  • The plan card (Admins) names your plan and shows the responses and AI credits used this month. Its corner says when they reset — or Manage — and opens billing.

The workspace menu

Click the workspace name at the top of the sidebar.

The workspace menu, and the account menu that opens from your name.
  • Workspaces. Every workspace you belong to; click one to switch. With many, Find a workspace filters them.
  • New workspace (Admins). Creates another workspace in your organization, within your plan's limit.
  • Set up with Polzy (Admins). Opens the setup plan — see Set up your workspace with Polzy.
  • Workspace settings (Admins). Opens Settings → General.

The account menu

Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar.

  • My profile. Your name, photo, password and two-step verification. Preferences and Notifications are tabs beside it — see Your profile, preferences and notifications.
  • Notification settings. Which emails and texts you receive. For Admins it opens Settings → Notifications.
  • Organization settings and Billing and usage (Admins), under your organization's name. Members, security, usage and billing are the organization's, the same whichever workspace is open.
  • Help center. This help center, in a new tab.
  • Cookie settings. Change the choice you made on the cookie banner.
  • Sign out. Signs this browser out. To sign out everywhere, use My profile.

The top bar

From the start of the bar to the end:

  • Back and the breadcrumb. The arrow goes up one level. The breadcrumb names the workspace, the section and the page; on an organization page it names the organization instead.
  • Search. The field with ⌘K beside it opens search — see below. On a narrow screen it is a magnifying glass.
  • Set up with Polzy (Admins, while setup is open). A ring and a percentage; opens the setup guide.
  • View plans (Admins). Opens the plan change.
  • Ask Polzy (Admins and Editors). Press ⌘J (Ctrl+J).
  • Language, Help, What's new (Admins and Editors), the notification bell and the moon or sun that switches between dark and light.

Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) on any page, or click Search in the top bar. The field reads Search or jump to…

Search: the field, the scope tabs, what you opened lately, pages, and things to create.
  1. Start typing. With nothing typed you see Recent — the last three things you opened — a few Pages and Create.
  2. From two letters on, Polzy searches your surveys, people and actions as well as the pages, four of each; Show all lists the rest.
  3. Press Tab to move between the tabs — All, Pages, Surveys, People, Actions and Create — or click one.
  4. Press Enter to open the highlighted row, or ⌘Enter (Ctrl+Enter) to open it in a new tab. Esc closes search.

Search only offers what you may open: the pages in your sidebar, and only the records your role can see. Create offers New survey, New campaign, New action, New workflow and Invite people, each only to a role that may make one. Preferences offers Toggle dark mode and Notification settings. For Admins and Editors, the last row hands what you typed to Ask Polzy.

Ask Polzy

Ask Polzy is Polzy's assistant, on every plan, for Admins and Editors. Click it in the top bar, or press ⌘J (Ctrl+J), to start a new conversation full screen; press it again to close. It knows which page you are on. Viewers do not have it, and an Admin can switch it off for the workspace. Ask Polzy explains what it can do.

The Help menu

Click the question mark in the top bar.

The Help menu: a search field, the help rows, and a way to the team.
  • Search the platform. Type to find help articles and the rows below; an article opens in a new tab.
  • Take the tour (Admins). Plays the guided tour again.
  • Get started guide. The first-hour guide in this help center.
  • Help center. This help center.
  • Keyboard shortcuts. Opens search, whose foot lists its keys.
  • API and webhooks. The API reference.
  • System status. Whether everything is running.
  • Ask Polzy (Admins and Editors).

Viewers see Help center and Keyboard shortcuts. At the bottom, Still stuck? says how fast the team replies — with your plan's reply time, for Admins — and Contact support opens Support.

On a Mac use ⌘; on Windows and Linux use Ctrl.

The guided tour

The tour is a two-minute walk through the product for Admins. It plays live examples, so nothing is saved and no AI credits are used.

  • Welcome. Opens the first time you open Set up with Polzy in a workspace. Choose Simple — only what your plan includes — or All features, then Take the tour or Explore on my own.
  • After an upgrade. Here's what you just unlocked shows what your new plan adds.
  • Again. Help → Take the tour, at any time.

What's new

The megaphone in the top bar lists the latest changes to Polzy, with a dot when there is something you have not seen. Full changelog opens every release note. It is shown to Admins and Editors.

Notifications

The bell in the top bar counts what you have not read. Click it to open Notifications:

  • Tabs. All, Needs action and Mentions. The list is grouped by day.
  • Each notice says what kind it is — Urgent, Needs attention, Assigned to you, Mention, Done or Info — and when. A blue dot marks an unread one; clicking it opens what it is about.
  • Mark all as read, and Notification settings, the gear, which opens your notification switches.
  • View all actions at the bottom opens Actions.

The bell shows everything that happened, whatever you chose for email and text. Your profile, preferences and notifications chooses what is also emailed or texted.

Language and appearance

The language menu in the top bar lists your workspace's languages; choosing one changes your own setting under Preferences. The moon or sun switches between dark and light; Match the system is under Preferences.

On a phone or tablet

Polzy works in a phone's browser, with the same pages.

  • Below tablet width, the sidebar becomes a drawer: the menu button at the start of the top bar opens it, and the cross closes it. Search shrinks to its magnifying glass.
  • On a phone, Language, Help, What's new, the theme switch and Set up with Polzy fold into More, the three dots in the top bar. Ask Polzy and the bell stay in the bar.
  • The breadcrumb shows only the page you are on.

Troubleshooting

A page I need is not in the sidebar. — Your role may not open it (see the table above), your workspace may have switched it off under Settings → General, or Simple view is hiding it: choose Show all features at the foot of the menu.

Search does not find a survey or a person. — Type at least two letters. Search only shows what your role may open.

There is no Ask Polzy button. — Ask Polzy is for Admins and Editors, and an Admin can switch it off for the workspace.

There is no Take the tour in Help. — The tour is for Admins.
