A student council that closed the loop in a week
When the student council at Hogeschool Zuid started a monthly wellbeing check, they expected workload to top the list. It did not.
The survey
Eight questions, two minutes, sent by email and a QR code in the canteen. Anonymous, with results shown only for groups of five or more. In the first month, 612 students answered.
What they heard
Workload scored lower than the council hoped, but the comments told a different story. Polzy grouped them by theme, and the largest group was not about deadlines at all — it was about the library closing at six during exam weeks.
What they did
The council took the finding to the facilities team with the numbers behind it: 94 comments, from every faculty. The library agreed to stay open until ten for the rest of the term.
Closing the loop
Before the next monthly check went out, every student who had answered received a short message: you said the library closes too early during exams; from next week it stays open until ten. The response rate the following month rose from 41% to 58%.
